The Youth Adventure Trust is inviting people to take part in fundraising challenges later this year.
The Swindon-based charity uses outdoor adventure and one-to-one support to empower vulnerable young people, aged 11-16 from Swindon and Wiltshire to fulfil their potential and lead positive lives in the future.
It works with them to build resilience, develop confidence and learn skills intended to last a lifetime, helping them to face the challenges in their lives.
A spokesperson said: "We believe that all vulnerable young people should have access to personal development opportunities so that they can fulfil their potential in the future.
"We also believe that learning in an outdoor environment is a key part of a young person’s development and that an early intervention that starts at age 11 and is long-term, will equip young people with skills that will last a lifetime.
"Young peoples’ circumstances can lead to them making poor choices that will affect the rest of their lives. On our programmes they learn to make positive decisions, believe in themselves, exceed their expectations and achieve their full potential."
On Saturday 8 June, participants from Wiltshire and beyond will be taking on the Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge.
The spokesperson said: "We’re giving participants the option of walking, running or jogging either 10km or a Half Marathon to raise funds for local young people.
"The Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge is part of the North Wessex Downs Walking Festival and will be a fantastic opportunity to support vulnerable young lives, as well as take in the glorious scenery of Wiltshire and enjoy a fun and rewarding experience with your friends, family or colleagues.
"On Saturday 6 July we’ll be heading to the Brecon Beacons for the Beacons Challenge! We’re giving participants the option of taking on either 6 Peaks or 10 Peaks. Are you up for the challenge?
"We can’t promise sunshine - it’s Wales after all! - but we can promise glorious scenery and a rewarding experience we are sure you will all enjoy, as well as the fantastic opportunity to support vulnerable young lives."
