Swindon & Wiltshire Pride are on the lookout for volunteers to fill vital committee roles as the Pride charity looks ahead to an even brighter 12 months.

The LGBTQ+ event has become one of the events of the summer in the Wiltshire calendar, and more than 6,500 people attended this year's in Queens Park.

Social Media Manager Andy Midwinter said: “The committee worked so hard building up to Pride this year, and to see the park filled with so much positivity and happiness, it was one of our best Pride events yet!”

Work hasn’t finished yet for the summer, as the volunteer committee are looking ahead to 2024 and are appealing to the local community to join the team.

Andy said: “Now we want to appeal to anyone who wants to help make a difference by applying for one of the committee roles. These vacant roles are vital to ensure we’re able to continue the work we do, and to enable us to put on a Pride event next year.”

Roles include Chairperson, Vice-chair, Trustee, Social Media, Deputy Treasurer, Deputy Volunteer Manager and Stalls Manager.
