South Swindon MP Sir Robert Buckland has named the Royal British Legion as his latest Charity of the Week.
Sir Robert is inviting people to show their support for the organisation.
He said: "As we mark Remembrance Day this week, I would like to announce the Royal British Legion as my charity of the week.
"Here in Swindon, we have a great tradition of support for our armed forces, with serving members, plus a significant number of veterans living locally.
"The Royal British Legion is the country’s largest Armed Forces charity and provides lifelong support for the Armed Forces community – serving men and women, veterans, and their families."
The charity's Field of Remembrance at Lydiard Park has officially opened, and is one of six across the UK where more than 3,500 commemorative markers have been planted, each carrying a personal message to someone who has died.
Sir Robert added: "Members of the Armed Forces community make huge sacrifices in the Service of our country, and I am proud to support the work of the Royal British Legion in honouring the memory of the Fallen."
