Swindon-based medical device company Vygon UK is inviting people to its inaugural Christmas Fayre today - Thursday 5 December.

The event will be held at the iconic Pierre Simonet Building, opened by the late Queen in 1998 and which featured in two James Bond films.

The building is at V Park, Gateway North, Latham Road, Swindon SN25 4DL.

Proceeds from the evening of festive fun which will run from 4-8pm, will go towards supporting two local charities – Threshold, which assists homeless and vulnerable people in Swindon, and Age UK Wiltshire, which provides services to older people living in Swindon and across the county.

Vygon says the Christmas Fayre will feature a delightful array of stalls from over 50 local businesses and vendors – including Karpinski Art Design, Nesso Gifts, White Horse Soap Company, Let’s Glow Aromatherapy, Glitterbomb Glitter Artists, Vylais Crystals, FurwebsMarket, StoryStop and Mama’s Sweet Treats, offering everything from bath and beauty products to handmade jewellery and toys, perfect for holiday shopping.

Visitors can also enjoy seasonal treats, including mulled wine, to keep warm as they browse.

Katie Kingston, Head of Marketing and Communications at Vygon UK, said: “The holidays can be one of the toughest times of the year for people facing homelessness, and it is also a time when the elderly feel most isolated and lonely.

“Threshold and Age UK Wiltshire offer incredible support to the homeless, elderly and vulnerable, not just during the holidays but all year round.

"At Vygon, we are committed to giving back to the community that we are part of, and we are proud to host this event to help spread some festive cheer and support these vital services.”

The Christmas Fayre is open to everyone, and Vygon UK encourages the Swindon community to come together for a meaningful evening of celebration and giving.

Katie added: “By showing support for these two worthy causes, we can help them ensure that no one in our community feels forgotten this holiday season.”

Entry is free and onsite parking will be available at no cost.
