Man arrested after taxi driver stabbed in Swindon

Officers investigating an incident in Swindon where a taxi driver was stabbed have made an arrest.

The incident took place on Saturday 15 June in Dawlish Road. 

A taxi driver had picked up two men and a woman from the Suju nightclub in Old Town shortly before 5.30am and was directed to take them to the Park North area. 

Following an argument, the taxi driver suffered slash wounds. He was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol and released the same day. 

A 25-year-old man from Swindon has now been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent. He is currently in custody at Gablecross Police Station.
