Wiltshire Police have released an e-fit as part of their investigation into a robbery in Swindon.

The incident happened at approximately 9.30am on 14 October.

A 21-year-old woman was walking along Swinley Drive towards the local shops away from the B4553. As she approached the junction with Linden Way, a car pulled up alongside her and the driver asked the woman for directions. She gave directions then continued walking. The driver then pulled up in front of her and the driver got out and threatened the woman before asking for money.

The woman handed over £20 and the man then pushed her to the floor causing her to cut her head.

The man got back in the car and drove off towards the B4553. He was driving a white estate car.

The suspect is described as mixed race or Asian, aged late 20s to early 30s. He was clean shaven with short dark hair and was wearing a grey hooded top.

Detective Constable Matt Smith said: “Our enquiries have been ongoing since our initial public appeal. Following a detailed description of the suspect by the victim, we have been able to put together an e-fit to help our appeal.

"If you were in the area at the time of the incident, or recognise the person in the e-fit please get in touch. This was clearly an upsetting incident for the victim – fortunately she wasn’t seriously injured but did sustain a cut to her head.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
