The team at Abbey Meads Community Primary School say they aim to develop citizens of the future who are caring resilient to change and skilled academically and socially.

The school - located on Hugo Drive - says it focuses on developing caring, conscientious, free-thinking children with a love of learning.

The Abbey Meads school staff say their rules are as follows:

Always Pay Forward and:

  1. Be Kind
  2. Be Kind
  3. Be Kind

A spokesperson for the education establishment said: "From our three-year-olds in the Nursery through to our mature and capable Year 6, we operate as one big family. We focus heavily on caring and supporting each other, and developing leaders for the next generation!"

Staff say they also believe children at Abbey Meads should have life-long memories of their time at primary school. The primary school's team say they acknowledge that children need to feel safe, be nurtured and have fun, so that attending school is seen as a joy.

The Abbey Meads team say there are many opportunities offered at the school which extend their pupil's own passions. Staff also say they provide opportunities for pupils to try new and exciting experiences - whether this is through trips and residential fieldwork, inspirational visitor sessions, specialist music and drama sessions, or Forest School and STEM activities.

The school's spokesperson continued: "Whilst academic education is of course important, how pupils achieve those standards is also important to us.

"The high quality of our everyday teaching, and other opportunities we provide, will ensure that children are left with a love of learning and life-long memories."
