Six Swindon schools celebrated the festive season with their second annual Christmas Showcase, featuring music, singing and dance.
The event, held at Abbey Park School hall, showcased a variety of musical performances, including choirs, soloists, and music students playing a range of instruments. The showcase also featured dance groups, a drama group, and readings.
More than 100 students participated in the event on December the 4th, inspiring younger year groups with a range of live performances. The showcase culminated in a rendition of "Wonderful Christmas Time," featuring staff members alongside all the student performers.
Amy Fry, Head of Music, Lydiard Park Academy, said: “What an amazing showcase of wonderful and inspirational talent and I’m very proud of everyone’s performances. It takes months of planning and rehearsals to put a big show like this together but all that commitment shone through on stage.”
Gemma Piper, CEO, The Park Academies Trust said: “One of the values we encourage at our schools is courage and it was wonderful to see our students full of confidence on stage in front of a packed hall. To perform in front of a big audience takes lots of hard work and dedication and I would like to, once again, applaud everyone who took part.”
