Gain a glimpse of UTC life on Saturday 29 June at UTC Swindon’s Open Event.

New and prospective students are able to take part in a free taster session in either engineering or digital technology at 10.30 and 11.30am, which will involve using STEM skills in practical tasks for these specialist technical subjects.

The Open Event will be running from 10am to 1pm where current students and staff will be welcoming you in, taking you on a tour of the UTCs cutting-edge facilities, and answering any questions you may have. The event is open to all prospective students and their family and friends, as well as the general public who would like to see what the UTC has to offer.

Future students will get the chance to learn about the courses offered, including the brand new Cyber Security and Digital Technologies courses, as well as take a look at the state-of-the-art Innovation Hub, sponsored by leading industry partner Fujitsu.

There will be a talk from UTC Principal, Jon Oliver in the Main Hall at 10.30am and again at 12.00pm.

The event is free but pre-registration is required. Please register here:

UTC Swindon is a specialist STEM college, which means that the university and the industry-led curriculum is specifically designed to educate students with a passion for elements of science, technology, engineering and/or maths. The curriculum is an academic one (it is not ‘hands-on’) but also benefits from some practical aspects delivered with the involvement of industry partners. UTC Swindon takes students at Year 10 and Year 12 (Sixth Form).
