An information event about volunteering to help The Samaritans will be held on Tuesday 15 May at 6 Curtis Street, Swindon. The event starts at 7pm and goes on until 9pm and there are a range of volunteering roles available including listening volunteers. The Samaritans are always seeking dependable people willing to donate some of their valuable time to help at Swindon & District Samaritans .
As a Samaritan volunteer put it: “One thing that I aways take away from a shift is the “feel-good factor”. Working in an environment with positive people and occasionally being told that just being there made all the difference to someone’s life, is reward enough for me”
