Residents of Swindon and Shrivenham will have a chance to question members of the NHS Swindon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), who are responsible for buying health services in Swindon and Shrivenham at their Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The CCG is responsible for commissioning a range of services including hospital, community and mental health service care for our local population. Their mission is to "optimise the healthcare of the people of Swindon and Shrivenham" and their vision to "ensure everyone in Swindon and Shrivenham lives a healthy, safe, fulfilling and independent life and is supported by thriving and connected communities."
The AGM will be held at The Pilgrim Centre, Swindon on Thursday 20 July 2017, from 9.15am to 11.30am. The first part of the AGM will detail how monies have been spent during 2016/17, followed by a conversation around an Accountable Care System for Swindon and the chance for the public to have their say on what a good healthcare system could look like.
Accountable Officer of NHS Swindon CCG, Nicki Millin said: “The AGM will give the public the opportunity to hear about the CCG’s achievements in 2016/17. We will also be looking at plans for the year ahead, discussing our challenges and opportunities and there will be a presentation of the Annual Report and Financial Accounts. I hope that as many local people as possible will join us to hear more about what we are doing.”
