The landlord of a pub in North Swindon is appealing for witnesses after two bricks were thrown through his windows.

In the early hours of this morning the landlord of the Fox and Hounds pub, Haydon Wick, was brutally awakened when two bricks were thrown through the window.

The landlord, Brendan Lee, believes the incident took place between 5am and 5.30am this morning. He said: "We've informed the police. At the moment I'm just trying to track down the neighbourhood for anyone with CCTV.

"We're looking for somebody with evidence, so we can take it to the police.

"I just can't get my head around it. I'm not accusing anybody - I'm hoping it's just pissed up teenagers who've legged it."

Mr Lee says despite the damage the show must go on, and he is getting the windows repaired.

This weekend the pub is hosting a fundraiser 'Party in the Car Park' for local charity Pathfinders, who support young children with physical disabilities.

Mr Lee added: "Come down and join in the fun, we've got a bouncy castle, face painting, BBQ and beer - it's for a great cause."

If anyone has any information about the vandalism at the Fox and Hounds pub, the landlord has asked them to either contact the police on 101 or the pub on 01793 724749.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
