On Wednesday 22 November, 15 Year 10 Computer Science Students from Kingsdown School visited Swindon's Honda plant.
Pupils were given the opportunity to engage with Computer Science on a whole new level last week by exchanging their classroom room with a trip to Honda.
To put theory into practice the Kingsdown students were given a tour of Honda's plant, which enabled them to understand how the manufacturer implemented their software systems for business and practical use.
Mr S Mays, Teacher of Computer Science, said: "The students were absolutely engaged from the moment we arrived at the Honda South Gate until the moment we left. The tour was conducted by Darren King, the Education link for Honda.
"We walked around the plant and traced a car in production from not existing to being test driven. The whole experience was fantastic and allowed the students to witness Computer Science in the real world. A big thankyou to Honda for having us."
