From virtual reality to animation, visitors to the Central Library Saturday 10 March can enjoy a hands-on taster session of exciting examples of twenty first Century technology.

The Digital and Technology Day will showcase the technology which many different organisations across Swindon are working with as well as what is on offer at the libraries.

There will be something for everyone at what promises to be a fun-filled and educational day. The event will take place at the Central Library between 10.30am and 2.30pm this Saturday to explore the different technology available.

Among those attending will be immersive technology experts Render, who will be bringing along a Virtual Reality set-up which visitors can try for themselves.

More information will be available about the Code Clubs which are now running in Swindon libraries as well as Digital Animation with Create Studios.

There will also be the chance to try out augmented reality books, which will bring books to life by bringing the characters and animals out of the pages.

Swindon Libraries will demonstrate how to use their online resources, eBooks and eMagazines, for free from a phone or tablet.

Over 200 up-and-coming new film makers will also be at the event as part of the Random Acts Playback Film Exhibition.
