Legendary international cricket commentator comes to Swindon as part of national tour

In the wake of announcing his retirement from international cricket commentary, Henry Blofeld has announced a farewell tour, 78 Retired, as well as brand-new book, Over and Out, following an illustrious 50 years behind the microphone.

Henry Blofeld will be at the Swindon Arts Centre on 6 April 2018.

A true national treasure, Henry will be delighting audiences across the UK with his brand-new tour starting at Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury on 23 March 2018 and ending at the Birmingham MAC on 27 May 2018, spanning 31 dates. Tickets are on sale from 10am on Friday 23 June 2017, available from www.henryblofeld.co.uk.

Additionally, Hodder and Stoughton are delighted to announce the acquisition of an autobiographical book by the cricket broadcasting legend, packed with behind-the-scenes anecdotes and stories told in Henry’s imitable style. Sports Editor Roddy Bloomfield acquired World Rights from Ralph Brünjes of ebp ltd.

Henry has hung up his microphone after commentating on some of the most iconic moments in cricket over the last half-century.

The cherished golden voice of the sport has decided to celebrate by touring the country with his brand-new show and book, jam-packed full of unheard anecdotes from on and off the pitch, as well as stories from the Test Match Special box.
