Don't you hate getting bored? You're enjoying a nice, comfy chair and binge-watching Netflix, but suddenly nothing is interesting anymore. It's stressful to be stuck in the same un-stimulating state for hours. So, what can you do when there's nothing to do, and no one left to talk to?

Luckily, there are many ways to entertain yourself. These 9 boredom tricks will show you how to beat boredom and have fun again:

1) Use Your Imagination

Boredom is the natural enemy of creativity. When bored, suddenly, everything seems to be dull and repetitive. You can fight this by finding ways to use your imagination. Draw in the air with your finger or reach for a piece of paper and a pen. It doesn't make sense, but it will keep you from falling asleep.

2) Get Active

If you run, then go for a quick run. Stroll in the park. Go for a bike ride. The more you exercise, the more presence of mind you will have. If your body moves, your mind is less likely to wander.

3) Gamble Online

Gaming is a proven way to defuse boredom. Blackjack online real money games are exciting, and if you stay within a budget, the financial risks are small.

4) Volunteer

We often waste time on useless activities simply because we don't know how else to manage feelings of boredom. Volunteering is an excellent way to channel your boredom into something productive. Volunteering in a retirement home, for instance, will provide you with knowledge about health care and medicine that can serve you well if you ever find yourself suffering from illness or injury. It will also give you a chance to interact with people who might teach you new skills that are useful in everyday life.

5) Learn a New Skill

Take up a new skill like crafting, photography or music to fill up your time before boredom sets in again. Boredom wants you to let those mundane thoughts creep into your mind, so be prepared and think of something else, like things that have never been on TV before.

6) Ask Questions

Ask people for advice about how to be more interesting. Learn about something new.

7) Read a Book

Reading is an excellent way to relax and helps you to fall asleep. Books are an excellent source of interesting information and entertainment, different cultures, or periods. Reading will give your mind fun ideas to work with as it drifts off to sleep.

8) Listen to Music

Some people need music to fall asleep, but others do not. Yet, regardless of preference, playing some music can help relieve boredom and make you feel alive again.

9) Go to Bed Early

If you know there won't be anything interesting on TV, don't watch TV. Going to bed early is a simple way to beat boredom, especially if you don't feel like doing anything else.

Now that you know how to beat boredom and have fun again, you should try one new way of doing it each day. This means that boredom will be a thing of the past.
