Alun Cochrane will be bringing his new stand-up show to the Swindon Arts Centre next month.
Alun has been seen on a number of high-profile TV comedy shows including Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Russell Howard’s Good News, Dave’s One Night Stand and 8 Out of 10 Cats.
His radio credits also include Frank Skinner’s Absolute Radio Show, and he is described as the 'grumpily funny Centrist Dad guy' they use frequently on Radio 4.
A spokesperson said of the comedian: "Alun’s impressive credits and stand-up have received praise from critics, notably The Scotsman who said, “It is wonderful, powerful, unexpectable stuff from a comic who still crafts some of the most listenable-to lines in the business.”
"This Autumn, Alun is touring a show that explores both stand-up material (Stuff) and of his high quality on the spot frippery, impro, crowd work (Nonsense)."
Alun says he is looking forward to heading out on the road this year.
He added: “I hope people come to watch my show as the fuel bill alone looks quite daunting. It will be a chatty half of silly ‘Nonsense’ and another section of my often curmudgeonly comedy, covering serious ‘Stuff’ like lockdowns, and culture wars, and actual wars, and eBay and oven gloves. Actually that half has lots of silliness too now I think about it.”
