South Swindon Parish Council is investing £60K in the play area to create a “wow-factor” for local children with improvements to the play equipment, replacing the play area with new fencing and a new rubber wet pour safety surface, as well as removing the unwanted basketball hoop and trim trail.

Chair of the Parish Council’s Leisure and Amenities Committee, Cllr Neil Hopkins, said: “This play area upgrade is one of a rolling program of play area improvements we are making for residents.

"Once finished this play area will offer children living in the Town Centre and beyond a fun and attractive area to play with unwanted and old equipment removed and replaced by fresh, new equipment.”
