Oxford Castle and Prison has joined forces with HauntedHappenings to bring armchair ghost hunters an evening of chills.

At 7.30pm on 24 April, what is reputedly one of the most haunted historical sites in Britain will bring the thrills of a live paranormal investigation to the homes of those brave enough to log in.

BBC News has reported that the castle’s Empress Matilda is one of the most sighted ghosts in the UK.

Using special devices to make paranormal entities known, Haunted Happening and their team of expert investigators promise to help budding investigators spot anything suspicious.

Armchair ghost hunters will also be able to hear stories about the strange sightings from the Castle’s 1,000-year history and to answer any questions they might have on the night.

The hunt will run until 9pm, with each log in priced at £14.

Exploring the historical site, the investigators and tour guides will lead guests virtually from room to room, around the castle tower, the Georgian prison cells and St. Georges’ Crypt.
