The people of Swindon had their taste buds tantalised at the Orbital Shopping Centre this weekend with the return of the annual food festival
From Saturday 11 to Sunday 12 August one of Swindon's most beloved food festivals, Eats from the Streets, parked up at The Orbital Shopping Centre.
The Routemaster Bus - a converted double decker bus and festival favourite - returned this year for visitors to dine in as they gorged on food from the various independent street food vendors. The family-friendly event also provided free face painting through the weekend.
Jamie Turner, centre manager at Orbital, said: “Our Eats from the Street festival is a celebration of street food and some of the best, independent food vendors from across the region.
“The event has proven really popular with local people in recent years, and we were excited to be bringing it back once again this year, offering free entertainment for the whole family while they enjoyed the delicious food from our stalls.”
This year vendors included:
- Wanna Pull – pulled meat burgers
- Chez Raphael – crepes and waffles
- International Spud Station – potato pancakes
- B&Co. Food – veggie / vegan pizza
- Gurt Wings – chicken wings
- Roll Me Up – ice cream rolls
- Devoted Deluxe Bar
