Do you enjoy visiting GWR Park on Faringdon Road?

The recent pandemic has highlighted that green spaces are valued by people who live in town centres. And this particular green space has played a significant role in the sporting and social life of Swindon’s Railway Village for over 170 years.

The Heritage Action Zone would like to hear why GWR Park is important and how it should be developed in the future.

Your comments will inform the Conservation Management Plan (CMP) being prepared by Landscape Architects Cookson and Tickner who have been carrying out research and surveys of the site in order to understand its history and its importance today.

The Plan will suggest ways to highlight heritage features and inform visitors of the park’s long and interesting history and will support the daily management of the park by South Swindon Parish Council.

So please get involved from Monday 10 May by completing a short survey at www.swindon.gov.uk/gwrparksurvey
