Swindon's MECA will host an evening of music and food in tribute to Bob Marley with Legend: The Bob Marley Experience.

Saturday, 26 February will see Swindon's MECA work with Legend: The Bob Marley Experience to create a family-friendly evening event, in homage to the reggae icon, Bob Marley.

The doors will open at 7pm and the evening will include live music from Legend, food stalls and merchandise tables to browse.

Legend is comprised of seven musicians and singers, dedicated to the life and music of the late, great Bob Marley.

A spokesperson for the band said: "This dynamic band, led by the charismatic Michael Anton Phillips (Cheesy) has a pedigree second to none, whose members have worked with such reggae greats as: The Mighty Diamonds, Dennis Brown, Rankin Roger, The Beat, Burning Spear, Apache Indian, Johnny 2 Bad, Errol Dunkley, George and Desmond Decker, Musical Youth and many more.

"The musicianship is flawless, with that irresistible reggae groove compelling you to move and the presence of Bob Marley himself invoked in the skilled and respectful portrayal by Michael."

Legend’s two hour show will cover a whole host of Bob Marley classics including Is This Love, No Woman No Cry, Waiting in Vain, Exodus, I Shot The Sheriff, Jamming and Could You Be Loved.

Tickets are priced at £13 for Early Bird and £16 for general on-sale. They can be purchased at https://www.mecaswindon.co.uk/events-tickets/legend-the-bob-marley-experience/
