Love is in the air at Lydiard

Lydiard Park’s recently-refurbished hotel is preparing to embrace the season of love with two romantic events.

The hotel is holding a Valentine’s dining experience in the elegant setting of its Palm Bar & Restaurant, and visitors are invited to spend a romantic evening enjoying a specially-crafted five-course menu and complimentary glass of Prosecco, all for £35 per person.
The menu includes starters such as baked camembert with sourdough, a main course of sea bream and lobster bisque or a duck leg Toulouse casserole, and a trio of deserts featuring brandy basket berries, cheesecake and a chocolate brownie. 

Alternatively, there’s a savoury finish with a cheese and biscuits selection, perfectly paired with frozen grapes and tomato relish.
A full selection of speciality teas and freshly-made coffee will also be served.
Reservations for the Valentine’s dining experience at Lydiard Park Hotel are available from 5.30pm on Friday, 14 and Saturday, 15 February.
For couples looking to extend their visit, an overnight stay package is also available, which includes the Valentine’s Dining menu for two people, accommodation in one of Lydiard Park Hotel’s en-suite bedrooms and a full English breakfast the next day for just £150.
Later in February, the hotel is hosting its first wedding show of the year in collaboration with The Whitewed Directory.
Couples recently engaged over the Valentine’s period, or those who have been planning their big day for a while, will be able to get plenty of inspiration at the Lydiard Park Hotel Wedding Show.
The stunning Main Hall of Lydiard House will be dressed for a wedding ceremony, and couples will have the opportunity to discuss their requirements with the hotel’s events team and over 25 of the finest local suppliers as they make their way around the venue. 
The Lydiard Park Hotel Wedding Show takes place on Sunday, 23 February, between 11am and 3pm. Entry is free.
