The dance company are encouraging entrants of all dance styles and levels of experience to apply.
Members of the public can join the National Youth Dance Company for a free workshop in Swindon, to find out more about the company and for the chance to become a part of it.
These workshops will offer a chance to find out more about NYDC and be considered for a place in the company from December 2021. Following these workshops, NYDC will offer a select number of dancers from each location the additional opportunity to attend an audition at Sadler's Wells in London on Saturday 6 November, 2021.
The National Youth Dance Company say the ideal candidate will have a love for dance, and be aged between 16 - 24 years old. Their inclusive recruitment drive is also open to d/Deaf or disabled entrants.
Successful entrants will be given the opportunity to work with NYDC Guest Artistic Director, Alesandra Seutin, on a brand new, full-length stage work uniting different dance styles and art forms. Those accepted through to NYDC's programme will have the chance to join 30 other dancers on a nationwide tour showcasing the best of youth dance.
Workshops will be taking place in Swindon, Birmingham, Brighton, Falmouth, Ipswich, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and Manchester.
NYDC will also be holding a digital workshop and welcomes video submissions alongside the in-person workshops.
