The National Trust is highlighting Easter adventures at its Wiltshire venues.

Avebury, Lacock and Stourhead are among more than 35 locations planning fun for all the family.

A spokesperson said: "Bring the whole family together this Easter and treat your loved ones to a spring adventure with the National Trust.

"Taking place over the Easter bank holiday weekend and coinciding with local school holidays there are more than 35 National Trust Easter trails to choose from across the South West.

"Jam-packed with outdoor activities and experiences, every single Easter trail is different. From nature-inspired crafts, egg and spoon races and welly wanging to den-building, seed planting and much more.

"Explore mazes and meadows, kitchen gardens and orchards, parkland and woodland bursting with the signs of spring.

"Designed with families in mind each National Trust Easter trail features ten activity stations, showcasing the cheery signs of spring, from bursting buds, daffodils in bloom to frolicking lambs and spring birdsong.

"And of course, every trail ends with a chocolate egg, or a vegan ‘Free-From’ chocolate egg, made here in the UK using cocoa from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms."

National Trust Easter egg trails cost £3 per child, plus normal National Trust admission/free entry for National Trust members, and people can locate their nearest trail by visiting nationaltrust.org.uk/easter
