On Saturday 21 September the doors of the Liden Centre will be opened and visitors can get an inside glimpse of the Swindon 105.5 radio station as well as the library and the cafe.
On the day visitors can put on headphones and record news or introduce music and meet some of the presenters. There will also be live music in the library, children's activities, and tabletop sales.
Ody’s Café, which is manned by members of Open Door charity, will also be open and serving teas, sandwiches and cakes. There will also be a raffle with lots of prizes including an opportunity to co-present a radio show. A couple of great classic cars will also be on display outside of the centre.
The venue has become a hub of activity for the community and is also the home of the Parish Council, and you'll be able to come and meet members of the council team who are supporting this afternoon event which gives you a chance to check out the services provided by the various organisations based at the Liden Centre and relax and chat over a cuppa.
The Liden Community Centre Club will be open for you to visit and check out the facilities from midday to 4pm.
