Rays Ice Cream in Swindon has launched its new Christmas menu on its website and it includes the chance for customers to buy a scoop of home made ice cream to be gifted to an NHS Hero.

Customers will be able to buy a Christmas Gift Tag for £2.50 either in the shop or online, they’ll be encouraged to write a message to an NHS worker on it and then it will be displayed on the shop’s Christmas Tree. Nearer Christmas, NHS workers will be invited to come to the shop and claim themselves a tag which they can exchange for an ice cream.

Other items on the new Christmas menu include Christmas Pudding and Mince Pie ice creams, some bespoke Christmas Ice Cream Cakes including a Ferrero Rocher cake! There are some mouthwatering festive cheesecakes including Chocolate Orange and Biscoff flavours. For the first time this year, Rays Ice Cream will be offering home delivery of their Christmas range.

‘It’s been an interesting, uncertain year,’ said Hadi Brooks, owner of Rays Ice Cream. ‘We’re fortunate to have been able to keep going through this crisis and we are extremely grateful to everyone who supported us this season.

‘We’re keen to give something back, and are hopeful that our customers will embrace the opportunity to gift a scoop of our ice cream to an NHS worker at a discounted rate.

‘It’s not a natural time for ice cream sales, but we’re hoping our innovative range of products for winter and Christmas will encourage people to keep buying from us.’

Orders for the new winter range are being taken now via the website, www.RaysIceCream.co.uk

Rays Ice Cream’s Old Town shop is open 5 days a week, Wed to Sun 12-5.30 for winter. They use their home made ice cream to make ice cream cakes and delicious think milk shakes. They also serve waffles, fresh coffee and luxury hot chocolates. Their ice cream is available wholesale to other businesses including local foodie pubs, hotels and dessert shops.
