Get ready for a bit of Hulk Smash and the caped crusader at The Brunel Shopping Centre this summer as a legion of superheroes arrive in town.
Shoppers in Swindon can don their masks and capes this summer and show off their super skills thanks to a month of free activities in The Brunel shopping centre.
Starting on 1st August, every Wednesday a different superhero will be visiting The Brunel and helping little ones make their own hero inspired outfits. Buzz Gym will also be holding free gym tots sessions to help youngsters hone their super powers.
Superheroes will be appearing between 11am and 3pm in The Crossing. Craft activity will take place on the lower level of The Arcade, together with the super power gym tots sessions.
Appearances include:
1 August Batman
8 August Spiderman
15 August The Incredible Hulk
22 August Supergirl
29 August Iron Man
Weekly competitions will also be running on The Brunel’s Facebook page for families to win the opportunity to meet and eat with their chosen character. A superhero-worthy lunch for two adults and three children will be up for grabs for those wanting to have a bite with Batman or snack with Supergirl.
Jane Stewart, Acting Centre Manager, said: “The summer holidays can present families with a challenge in finding activities to fill the days without costing a lot. These free Superhero Summer Wednesdays are an ideal opportunity to have fun, be crafty and get moving too thanks to Buzz Gym – although we hope the children won’t perfect their skills so much that they’re swinging through the centre on web shooters or practising their Hulk smash!”
