TWIGS Community Gardens are inviting people to come along to their Apple Fayre on 5 October.
The Apple Fayre is one of the most popular events that TWIGS hold, and will be a fantastic day out for all the family.
A spokesperson for the event said: "Bring your own apples to juice on our patio, explore the beautiful gardens in their early autumn glory, browse our plant and craft sales, indulge in tea and cake and listen to live music on the patio".
The community garden provides a therapeutic environment in which people experiencing mental health issues can gain new skills and confidence through activities including gardening, conservation and crafts.
Thanks to the generosity of garden owners, volunteers and visitors TWIGS have donated over £70 million to nursing and health charities, and in 2023 alone gave over £3.4m. Core beneficiaries include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and The Queen’s Nursing Institute.
The event takes place at the TWIGS Community Gardens, Cheney Manor Industrial Estate, on Saturday 5 October, between 11am to 4pm.
The suggested donation admission fee is £2.
