Multi-award-winning vocalist and BBC broadcaster Claire Martin OBE will team up with the legendary Scottish guitarist Jim Mullen for an unmissable night of music at Christ Church on Saturday 7 September.

Friends for over 30 years, the duo will treat audiences to an intimate night of great American songbook classics and other lesser-known gems.

Joined by in-demand bassist Adam King, the show promises to be a swinging and soulful night of classic songs celebrating songwriters from Cole Porter to Donald Fagan.

The show will open with a session by Gareth Williams & Daniel Newberry Quartet.

National newspapers have praised the duo and comments include:

“Mullen’s palette of raunchy blues, graceful bebop and purring tenderness glows” - John Fordham - The Guardian

“His ability to spin a seemingly effortless stream of melody never fails to keep your ears fully occupied” -  Dave Gelly - The Observer

“Claire Martin ranks among the four or five finest female jazz vocalists on the planet”.  Jazz Times USA

“Our finest jazz singer”. Clive Davis - The Times

Tickets are now on sale for £18 per person.
