The organisers of Marlborough LitFest are looking for volunteers who can spare an hour or two over the festival weekend (25-28 September 2025).

Volunteer opportunities range from helping at the box office or the festival café in the Town Hall to stewarding events in venues across Marlborough and supporting the free children’s events. If you’re a dab hand at social media or you fancy dressing up as a LitFest jester, please get in touch with the team.

There are perks – as well as getting the chance to watch the event, volunteers are also invited to the LitFest programme launch in July where tickets can be purchased for all festival events ahead of general sale.

Volunteers get to be part of the lively team who deliver one of the leading cultural events in Wiltshire. The festival committee is made up of a team of volunteers too who give up their time throughout the year to plan and deliver Marlborough LitFest.

A spokesperson said: “The LitFest committee really appreciates our volunteers’ hard work and dedication in the lead up to and during the festival weekend and hope that they enjoy themselves too. It’s so rewarding working together as a community to make the festival run smoothly.”

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please email: [email protected]
