A Swindon group says warmer weather means it is the perfect time to explore the walking routes the town has to offer.

May is National Walking Month and The Swindon Travel Choices website has a comprehensive guide to the many walking routes around Swindon.

A spokesperson said: "Walking is a fantastic way to keep fit and active. Regular walking reduces blood pressure, lowers the levels of 'bad LDL' cholesterol in your blood, tones muscles and strengthens the bones. Walking is free, which makes it an excellent form of transport."

The website, which can be found here #swindontravelchoices has routes including wellbeing walks, walks for those with disabilities and health conditions, interactive walking maps and a new 'Paths to Coate' map and guide.
