Renowned alternative folk act Wildwood Kin will head to Swindon for the final leg of their newly-announced UK tour.

The powerhouse family trio, made up from sisters Beth and Emillie and their cousin Meghann, will be performing a headline show at Christ Church in Old Town.

They will be in Swindon on Saturday 25 September, with the doors opening at 6.30pm.

Tour support is singer-songwriter JAKL plus more acts to be announced.

The gig launches a new festival brand, Swindon Folk & Blues Festival, which were due to hold its first festival this year but due to the pandemic have decided to organise the event for 2022 and until then host this concert.

Festival Director Evie Em-Jay from Jazz Knights said: "We are really proud to be hosting the final leg of Wildwood Kin's UK Tour and I can't wait to be back in the stunning venue of Christ Church.

"We really hope that the public support live music in what has been a devastating period for the music industry and its venues."

Co Director Ed Dyer from Songs of Praise said: "It is a privilege to be able to host a band as talented as Wildwood Kin.

"To be able to do it in a venue as spectacular as Christ Church is an added bonus. It is a perfect combination that is sure to create a truly magical musical event.

Tickets for the Christ Church appearance can be obtained through https://www.seetickets.com/event/wildwood-kin-plus-support/christ-church/1828930 and are priced at £13.20.
