The day of family activities will centre around the theatre's upcoming pantomime.
On Wednesday 27 October, from 10am – 2pm, the Wyvern will be opening its doors for a morning of free family fun.
Activities will include character appearances, storytime, crafts and competitions - all themed around this year's pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk.
This year, Swindon Theatres will be joined by friends from Prime Theatre, who be hosting a panto-packed session of drama games and storytelling skills, exploring Jack and his legendary adventure.
Tanwood School of Performing Arts, will be facilitating their Moooove It Like Daisy Dance Workshop where children aged 7-12 will be taught a simple routine to the party hit ‘I Like To Move It’.
These sessions have limited availability and require participants to pre-register by emailing Community and Education Officer Kate Claxton at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Wyvern Family Fun Day will be raising money for the hire of a Mobiloo facility for its relaxed performance of Jack and the Beanstalk. The Mobiloo is a fully mobile toilet unit that comes complete with a changing bench and a hoist, providing those with disabilities a more accessible and dignified facility than many fixed toilets can offer them.
The Wyvern says the availability of the Mobiloo during the relaxed performance on Friday 10 December will allow many families to make the difference between missing out and making memories, and encourages members of the public to get involved in its fundraising activities.
