South Swindon MP, Robert Buckland, is inviting the people of Swindon to join him this month in supporting Marie Curie’s Daffodil Appeal.

The Great Daffodil Appeal (GDA) is Marie Curie’s flagship fundraising campaign and has been operating for more than 30 years across the UK.

The first Great Daffodil Appeal took place in 1986, and since then the campaign has gone from strength-to-strength, raising more than £73m.

Marie Curie Nurses care for those with a terminal illness in their own homes, when you need them most, day or night.  The charity also has hospices across the UK.

Robert Buckland MP said: “Over the last 60 years, Marie Curie have supported hundreds of thousands of families across the UK, including many in Swindon.

“This fantastic charity cares for people living with any terminal illness, including cancer, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, heart failure, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which is why I am pleased to support the Daffodil Appeal.”
