Man charged over stabbing in Swindon

A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Swindon over the weekend.

Jamaal Mortimer, 21, of Curtis Street, Swindon has been charged with wounding with intent and possession of a knife.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates Court today.

Wiltshire Police continue to investigate the incident, which happened in the town overnight between Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 July 2018 and are trying to locate others who may have been involved.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses, and have asked anyone with information to contact Swindon CID on 101. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
