Green-fingered photographers across Wiltshire are invited to snap up the best of nature with National garden Scheme's photography competition.

The National Garden Scheme has launched its second annual photography competition in association with BBC Gardeners’ World, offering entrants the chance to win Wolf-Garten tools worth over £950.00. The competition, which runs from 15 March to 28 August 2018, asks amateur photographers and garden enthusiasts to take photographs at National Garden Scheme garden openings taking place between these dates. There are six categories to enter, including Garden Wildlife, Beautiful Garden Views and BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine: Fantastic Flowers - from which the winning image will appeal in the magazine’s 2019 calendar. The judging panel of George Plumptre, CEO of National Garden Scheme, a professional photographer (TBC) and Lucy Hall, editor of BBC Gardeners’ World magazine, will select the winner of Best Overall Photo from all competition submissions, as well as a winner from each category. The Best Overall Photo will receive a Wolf-Garten 72v lithium bundle, including lawnmower, leaf blower, hedge trimmer, and grass trimmer, worth £950, and each category winner will receive £100 to spend on the current WOLF-Garten range (including cutting tools, cultivating tools, power tools etc.). George Plumptre, CEO of National Garden Scheme, said: “For the National Garden Scheme’s first photography competition in 2017 we received over 1,000 entries and we are sure this year’s competition will create even more interest and excitement - particularly with such excellent prizes from our sponsors Wolf-Garten. “There are countless photographic opportunities in the beautiful gardens that open for charity as part of the National Garden Scheme and this competition celebrates the glorious sights to be seen when visiting a garden throughout spring and summer.” Mark Hewett, Divisional Sales Manager of Wolf-Garten, said: “The NGS is such a prestigious organisation that does some fantastic work. We are excited to be partnering with the organisation to support its photography competition and can’t wait to see the entries.” The deadline for entries is midnight on 28 August 2018 and entrants can enter more than one category but cannot enter a single image into more than one category.
