The Swindon Town Supporters’ Trust (Trust STFC) continues to widen its reach with the addition of three new board members.

Rob Angus, Greg Callard and Rishi Ladwa are all long-standing Swindon Town fans and will work with vice-chairman James Phipps who continues to develop relationships with local businesses.

Rob is appointed as an external director with a specific focus on financial planning. Currently Director of strategy and propositions at Nationwide Building Society, he said: "I’m really pleased to add my support to ensure we safeguard the long-term future of our football club and I aim to help enable the Trust to continue all its great work."

Greg and Rishi are both on the books of local solicitors Withy King. Greg is part of the commercial property team while Rishi is an associate in the corporate and commercial division. They will add invaluable legal know-how to the Trust board.

Greg said: "I am honoured to be involved with such a passionate Trust that has the club at the heart of its every thought and drive. By working together we can help make a long-term success of this wonderful club."

Rishi added: "I'm delighted to be involved with the Trust, whose objectives all benefit the club I have supported for 26 years."

Chairman Steve Mytton welcomed the trio onto the board, saying: “Rob, Greg and Rishi bring with them significant experience in various sectors which will only help the Trust as we look to expand and grow our ambitions.

‘‘While they bring a corporate edge, it’s important to recognise that they are all massive Town supporters with the best interests of the club at heart. Their arrivals means other board members’ workloads are lightened, allowing us to channel more of our energy into our various and numerous fan engagement and fundraising schemes.

“We now have a 12-strong board, plus Rob as an external director, as well as 10 Trust officers, each with their own specific responsibilities.

“It’s taken a while but we now feel we’re well set up to be able to take on some of our lofty objectives and provide real support for the club, should they wish to call on our members’ knowledge and passion for Swindon Town”.
