Trio of new schools in Swindon welcomed their first pupils this week.

The Deanery Church of England Academy secondary in Wichelstowe, William Morris Primary School in Tadpole Garden Village and Badbury Park Primary School at Badbury Park all opened for the start of the school year - creating 1,200 new secondary school places and 1,260 primary places.

The Deanery CofE Academy secondary in Wichelstowe, run by the Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust,  opened on Wednesday. 

And William Morris Primary and Badbury Park Primary opened on Friday, 6 September and are run by The Blue Kite Academy Trust - also responsible for running Ferndale Primary and Nursery School, Ruskin Junior School and Abbey Meads Community Primary School.
