During the Covid-19 epidemic everyone at Swindon Link is determined to carry on in our role as an essential service for the people of the town. Our printed publication goes out to 50,000 households in the borough and our website ensures that you keep up to date with everything that is going on.
Our April edition has now been returned to us from the printers and will be delivered out by our trusted team of deliverers over the next week or so.
Swindon Link is an essential service for the people of the town providing a vital messaging public service.
During this crisis our deliverers are providing an essential public service by getting this publication out to the general public through door to door delivery. It is imperative that they be allowed to go about their busines.
They are all following the strictest protocols in line with Government guidelines set out for Royal Mail and other delivery services.
Public Health England has also ruled out any contamination risk from postal deliveries coming through your letterbox.
For a lot of the more vulnerable people in Swindon, even before this crisis, the magazine was essential lifeline to the rest of the community and it is now needed more than ever in this time of community lockdown.
Please treat our deliverers, who work for our contractors Dor2Dor, with the respect that they deserve and be aware that their function is vital.
Everyone at Swindon Link has vowed to continue providing this essential role online and in print for as long as we are able.
