Swindon cyclists have chance to make bikes more theft-proof

By Barrie Hudson - 13 January 2022

Police officers will host a free bike marking event on Monday, 17 January from 2.30-4.30pm.

It will also be an opportunity for people attending to talk face-to-face with officers about issues of concern in the local area.
Members of Swindon Police's Local Stratton Neighbourhoods Team will be available to mark bikes at Meadowcroft Community Centre in Addison Crescent.
A force spokesperson said: "Please feel free to bring your bike along to be marked or to speak with our officers about any concerns you have in the local community."
Marking bikes can be a deterrent to thieves as well as making stolen machines easier to recover.
