Cyclist knocked from bike in Swindon's Bruce Street after alleged row with driver

Swindon Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision last Tuesday - 4 May.

At about 5.30pm it was reported that a cyclist had been knocked off their bike by a white Range Rover Evoque on Bruce Street, following an alleged altercation at the traffic lights outside the Co-op on Rodbourne Road.

The cyclist, a man in his 20s, suffered minor injuries which did not require medical attention, while the driver of the Range Rover drove away without exchanging details.

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of failure to stop after a road accident and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, and has since been released under investigation.

The police are appealing for witnesses to any interactions between the cyclist and the driver, including dash cam and businesses' CCTV footage.
