Jamie Hunt, 42, from Arnfield Moor, Liden, was charged today - 23 November - and released on unconditional bail.
He is due before magistrates in January.
The charges follow an incident in Mately Moor, Liden at about 4am on 23 November when officers were called after a male was disturbed allegedly tampering with one car and breaking-in to another on a private driveway.
