Officers investigating an unprovoked assault in Swindon are appealing for information and have released CCTV images.

At approximately 7am on January 12, a man was heard shouting and swearing whilst walking along Grange Drive, in Stratton.

The man then approached a woman and ripped her glasses from her face before attempting to punch her. She did not sustain any injuries, but was left extremely shaken up.

During the incident, the victim - who is aged in her 40s - was racially abused.
