CCTV appeal after teens enter insecure vehicle in Purton

Swindon Police are appealing to the public for information about the teen in a released CCTV picture, regarding an incident where an insecure vehicle was entered in Purton.

At approximately 5pm on Sunday 8 January, two teenage boys were seen entering an insecure vehicle in the Ridgeway Farm estate in Purton.

The owner of the vehicle confronted the pair and was able to detain one of the boys until police arrived.

A 15-year-old boy from Swindon was arrested on suspicion of attempted theft of a motor vehicle and common assault.

He has been released on bail to confer with the Youth Offending Team.

The second male made off from the scene.

Above is a CCTV image of a male that the police would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

He is described as being age approximately 15, with blonde, chin length hair.
