The team at Christ Church in Old Town have shared an appeal for a drum kit for Iranian refugee Faraz Fallahi, who lives in Swindon.
Faraz is looking for a drum kit so he can practice his musical skills and perform at the church and at other venues.
Since fleeing Iran, Faraz has been unable to play his beloved drums. He has a set of drum sticks and is currently playing on his leg, boxes, and pretty much anything he can find that makes a noise.
He says he cannot afford to buy a set and also has no room in his accommodation to store them. Staff at Christ Church say if they can source some for him from somebody in Swindon, they can keep them at the church for him to practice and play with.
A spokesperson from Christ Church commented: "If you do have any drums spare that Faraz and the church could borrow or keep please get in touch with us through Facebook, or contact our vicar Simon Stevenette on 01793 529166."
