Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with an assault at a cinema in Swindon town centre.
At approximately 3pm on Sunday, September 6, a woman allegedly punched another woman multiple times to the face causing bleeding to the ear and a swollen eye socket.
The incident occurred in the foyer of the Cineworld in Regent Circus when the victim was making a complaint to the cinema staff.
The woman was described as white, long, dark hair and approximately 5 ft 9 inches tall. She was with a man who is described as white, short, dark, curly hair and facial hair.
PC Emma Rossiter said: “This is a disproportionate and unprovoked attack and the level of aggression shown in a public place with young children present is unacceptable.
“The incident occurred after the victim, who was watching the film with her young daughter, asked the suspect and her partner to stop talking over the movie.
“We would like to speak to the woman pictured regarding this incident or anyone who may recognise her or have witnessed what happened in the foyer of the cinema that day.
“If you have any information, please call us on 101 and quote crime reference 54200089633.”
