Two arrests following serious collision in Swindon

Officers investigating a road traffic collision in Rodbourne Road, Swindon - in which a woman was seriously injured - have arrested a 35-year-old man.

He is suspected of failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision, and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
In addition, a 28-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of linked offences.
They are both currently in police custody.
The injured woman is currently in a stable condition in hospital, where she is being treated for life changing injuries.
Roads Policing Inspector Neil Duffin said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area of the Swindon Outlet Village, Rodbourne Road  or Crombey Street between 2am and 2.30am, to contact us as a matter of urgency.
“You may have information which could help with this investigation into a serious collision which left a woman seriously injured.
“We also need to hear from anyone who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage.”
