Number of new Swindon coronavirus cases up by 103 in a week

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that there have been no further deaths reported at Great Western Hospital from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. This is the 34th day in a row that there have been no further deaths. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak began remains at 125. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.

As of 4.01pm today there have been nine new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 1,029 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 103 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there has been one new case in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 1,327. This means that in the last seven days there have been 18 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures, put together by Public Health England, are split by local authority.

As of 9am on 10 August, 311,641 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 816 positive tests in the last 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 9 August, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK, 46,595 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 21 since the day before.
