No further coronavirus deaths at GWH for sixth day running

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that there has been no further deaths reported at Great Western Hospital from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. This is the sixth day in a row since any further deaths were reported at the hospital. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak remains at 124. These figures are correct up to 5pm yesterday.

As of 4.29pm today there have been no new confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours in Swindon meaning the total remains at 736 since the start of the outbreak. In Wiltshire there has also been no new cases, meaning the amount of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire now stands at 1,233. These figures are split by local authority.

These figures went up massively yesterday after Public Health England started to include the cumulative 'community' testing of Pillar Two in the figure, which included historic data going back to the start of the outbreak. You can read the details of this here

UK-wide, as of 9am on 3 July, 284,276 people have tested positive. This is a rise 544 positive tests since the day before.

As of 5pm on 2 July, of those tested positive for coronavirus, across all settings, 44,131 have died. This is a rise of 137 since the day before.
